Cancelling your individual permit

How to cancel your individual permit and what happens after you do.


Overview

You can cancel your individual permit at any time in the Parkable app. After cancelling, you'll continue to have access to your space for one more billing term (weekly or monthly) from the day you cancel.

For example, if you have a monthly permit and cancel on 10 February at 4pm, your permit will end on 10 March at 4pm.


How to cancel your permit

  1. Open the Parkable app

  2. Go to your active permit and tap Cancel permit

  3. The Cancel permit screen shows your permit details, how much the final payment will be, and an option to update your credit card if you want to avoid a failed payment β€” see What happens if my permit payment fails? for what happens if your renewal doesn't go through

  4. Select a reason for cancelling (this is required) β€” options include:

    • I'm moving to a new location

    • I'm not in the office enough

    • My employer has provided me with parking

    • It's too expensive

    • I found a different car park that suits me better

    • There is an issue with my park

    • Another reason (up to 25 characters)

  5. Tap Confirm cancellation


What happens after you confirm

You'll be taken back to the My permits screen with a confirmation showing:

  • The final payment was taken

  • The date your permit will end

  • The status changes to Leaser ending

You'll keep access to your space until the end date.


How the final payment is calculated

The final payment covers one more billing term, starting from the moment of cancellation. It includes a discount for any unused time in the term you were already in.

Note: Most parking facilities use this default rule, but some may have different cancellation settings. Check the Cancel permit screen for the exact amount before confirming.
