Enable notifications from the Parkable app

Turn on push notifications so you get parking reminders, booking updates, and important alerts.

Overview

Push notifications keep you informed about your parking β€” for example, sessions about to auto-end, confirmed bookings for tomorrow, payment issues, EV charging status, and gate access prompts.

To receive them, push notifications need to be enabled both inside the Parkable app and in your phone's system settings.

How to enable notifications

  1. Open the Parkable app

  2. Tap Account in the bottom navigation bar

  3. Tap Notifications

  4. Under Push notification, tap Change your system notification settings β€” this opens your phone's system settings for the Parkable app

  5. Turn notifications on

If you'd prefer to go straight to your phone's settings:

iOS

  1. Open Settings

  2. Scroll to Parkable

  3. Tap Notifications

  4. Turn Allow Notifications on

Android

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Apps

FAQs

What kinds of notifications will I receive?

Parkable sends notifications for things like:

  • Parking sessions about to auto-end (so you can extend if needed)

  • Confirmed bookings or waitlist updates from future booking

  • Failed payments and 3D Secure authorisation prompts

  • EV charging status (started, stopped, idle)

  • Reminders to end your session if you've left the parking facility

  • Gate access prompts at parking facilities with ANPR

I'm not getting any notifications even though they're enabled

Check that:

  • Notifications are turned on in both the Parkable app and your phone's system settings

  • Your phone isn't in Do not disturb mode or has a focus filter excluding Parkable

  • The Parkable app is up to date

If you're still not getting them, contact Parkable support.
