By default, your Parkable account is set to end your session after 12 hours. You’ll receive a notification after 12 hours with the option to continue your session, but if you don’t respond to the notification, your session will be ended automatically. The Auto-End feature is designed to automatically conclude a parking session after a preset time duration, ensuring your session does not run indefinitely.
The Auto-End feature in the Parkable app provides a convenient way to manage your parking sessions, automatically concluding after a preset time duration that you specify. This ensures your parking session does not run indefinitely and saves you from manually stopping the session if your parking needs are predictable.
If you’re likely to be parking for fewer or more than 12 hours at a time (for instance overnight), then you can change this setting: This is particularly useful for individuals with predictable parking schedules, such as overnight parking or regular long-duration needs.
Open the Parkable app (version 10 or above)
Tap Account in the bottom navigation bar
Under Parking tap Session auto-end
Set your auto-end to any time between 1 - 24 hours, or 1 - 7 days
Please note that if you choose a longer session auto-end time, you will not receive any reminders before this, and your session will continue to run and charge you until you press ‘Stop parking’. You also have the option to manually end a session at any time by tapping Stop Parking within the app, which provides precise control over your charges.
If you need to park for longer than 7 days, you might want to consider a permit rather than hourly parking.
When your parking session approaches its scheduled end, the Parkable app notifies you one hour before the session is set to expire. This alert provides ample time to adjust your plans accordingly.
Note: Your changes to auto-end will not apply if you have current active session however it will apply for any session's you book in the future.
