Overview
If you have a reserved permit and regularly don't need your space on certain days, you can set up a recurring schedule to share it automatically. This frees the space up for other parkers and earns you sharing credits — see I'd like to share my permit space, how does it work? for how credits work.

How to set up recurring sharing
Open the Parkable app
Tap the calendar icon in the Share my space card
Select the day of the week you want to share recurrently. To share on multiple days, select additional day tiles in the pop-up
Use the dropdown to choose Weeks or Months
Enter how many weeks or months you want to share for, starting this week
Tap Confirm — the tiles for the shared dates turn green
Tap Save
The calendar now shows the days your space will be shared.
Note: You can share for up to 52 weeks or 12 months in advance.
How to cancel recurring sharing
Open the Parkable app
Tap the calendar icon on the Share my space card under your active permit
Select the day of the week you want to remove sharing for. To remove sharing on multiple days, select additional day tiles
Toggle to Unshare space in the pop-up
Tap Confirm
Tap Save
The calendar now shows any remaining shared days.
Note: Toggling to Unshare space removes all sharing for the selected day(s) for the next 12 months.
When you can't unshare
There are two situations where Parkable won't let you unshare a day:
Someone has a confirmed booking that can't be moved — if another parker has a confirmed booking on your space for that day and there's no alternative space available, you won't be able to unshare that day
Someone has an active session at a 24/7 parking facility — Parkable guarantees the active parker at least 24 hours' notice before their space becomes unavailable. While someone is parked in your space, you can't unshare today or the following day. Once their session ends, the following day becomes available to unshare again
Note: This means you may see an error when trying to unshare tomorrow, even though the active session is for today. This is expected — try again once the current session ends.
If sharing isn't available
If you can't see the Share my space card, sharing may not be supported for your permit type or parking facility. See Why is sharing not available with my permit?.
FAQs
Why can't I unshare tomorrow when the session is today?
At parking facilities open 24 hours, Parkable must give the active parker at least 24 hours' notice before the space becomes unavailable. While someone is parked in your space, both today and the following day are blocked from being unshared. Once their session ends, you can unshare the following day.
What if I need my space back urgently?
If you can't unshare because of an active session, you'll need to wait until the session ends. If there's a confirmed booking that can't be moved, contact your parking administrator for help.
