Overview
You can set preferred spaces in the Parkable app so that when Parkable allocates you a space, you're more likely to get one of your favourites. This applies to both hourly sessions and — if your parking facility offers it — future bookings.
It's useful if certain spaces are closer to your building, easier to access, or better suited to your vehicle.
How to set preferred spaces
Open the Parkable app
Tap Car park details for the parking facility you want to set preferences for
Tap Preferred spaces
Select your preferred spaces from the list or within groups
Tap Save
Tip: Tap All spaces in this group to quickly select an entire group. We recommend selecting at least 3 preferred spaces to improve your chances of being allocated one.
FAQs
Will I always get one of my preferred spaces?
Not always. Parkable tries to allocate one of your preferred spaces, but if they're all taken you'll be assigned another available space. You can change your space at any time during an active session — see Change your assigned parking space.
Can I exclude specific spaces?
There's no option to exclude individual spaces. As a workaround, set your preferred spaces to all spaces except the ones you want to avoid. This makes it less likely you'll be allocated those spaces, though not impossible.
Can I add a sharing pool space to my preferred spaces?
No. Sharing pool spaces change frequently as permit holders share or unshare them, so they can't be saved as preferences. See How do I add my sharing pool preferred space in the app? for more.
