Open an access gate with an hourly booking

Using the Parkable app you can open the gate with a tap of a button

You can open an access gate for your casual booking using the Parkable app. Ensure your device is connected to the internet, has Bluetooth enabled, and is within range of the car park gate to successfully gain entry.

1. Open the Parkable app.
2. Tap the green "Open gate" button

If you’re having problems opening the gate, please check that:

  • You are in range of the gate

  • Your device is connected to the internet

  • Bluetooth is enabled with no other active Bluetooth connections

  • Location services are turned on

  • The Parkable app has the permissions required:

    • For Android this is; Nearby devices and Location

    • For iOS this is; Bluetooth and Location services

For Android you can check if the Parkable app has these permissions by:

  • Opening Settings

  • Tap on Apps

  • Scroll to Parkable

  • Review the Permissions the Parkable app has

For iOS you can check if the Parkable app has these permissions by:

  • Opening Settings

  • Scroll down to Privacy & Security

  • Tap on Location Services or Bluetooth to see a list of every app that has requested access and toggle them individually.

If you end your session before you have left the carpark, there is 15 minute grace period where you will still have access to open the gate on the app.
