Access your Parkable account via single sign on (SSO)

Sign in to Parkable using your work account when your workplace uses single sign-on.

Overview

If your workplace uses single sign-on (SSO), you sign in to Parkable using your normal work login — the same one you use for email and other corporate apps. You don't need a Parkable password.

This article is for parkers whose workplace has set up SSO. If you're not sure whether yours has, see the FAQ below.

Sign in via the Parkable app

The mobile app is the easiest way to use Parkable.

  1. Download the Parkable app from the Apple App Store or Google Play

  2. Open the app and tap Log in

  3. Enter your work email address and tap continue

  4. You'll be redirected to your workplace's login page (Microsoft, Okta, etc.) — sign in there as you normally would, completing any multi-factor authentication

  5. You'll be sent back to the Parkable app and signed in

The first time you sign in, you'll be asked for a few personal details (name, phone number) and to accept the terms — this only happens once.

Sign in on the web

If you'd rather use a browser:

  1. Enter your work email address

  2. Sign in via your workplace's login page when redirected

Tip: app.parkable.com is the parker site — it's where you book and manage parking. account.parkable.com is the administrator console. You can sign in there too, but you won't see anything useful as a parker.

Everyday sign-in

After the first time, signing in is the same — open the app or app.parkable.com, enter your work email, and you'll be redirected to your workplace login. Most of the time, you'll already be signed in to your workplace account and won't even see the login screen.

If you have an existing Parkable account

If you previously signed up for Parkable with the same work email — for example, you were invited by an admin before SSO was switched on — your existing account is automatically linked when you sign in via SSO. Your parking history, vehicles, and payment cards are all still there.

If you signed up with a personal email address, that's a separate account. See the FAQ below for what to do.

If your sign-in fails

Message

What it means

What to do

"Your sign in was successful but does not meet the criteria to access this resource"

Your workplace's IT team hasn't given you access to Parkable yet

Send this article and the message to your IT helpdesk — they need to add you to the Parkable app in your workplace's identity system

"Unable to process request due to missing initial state"

You launched Parkable from your workplace's app launcher (e.g. an Okta or Microsoft tile)

Open the Parkable app or go to app.parkable.com directly instead

The app keeps loading and never signs you in

A multi-factor authentication step has timed out, or there's a temporary issue with the app

Close the app completely and reopen it. If that doesn't work, try app.parkable.com in a browser

Your password isn't working

Your workplace uses SSO — you don't have a Parkable password

Don't try to reset your password. Sign in with your work email and use your workplace login

If none of the above match, contact your parking administrator or Parkable support with a screenshot of the error.

FAQs

How do I know if my workplace uses SSO?

The easiest way is to enter your work email address on the Parkable login screen. If your workplace uses SSO, you'll be redirected to your workplace's login page (Microsoft, Okta, etc.). If they don't, you'll see a Parkable password field instead.

If you're not sure, ask your parking administrator.

I'm getting prompted for multi-factor authentication and it's looping

Some workplace MFA setups (Microsoft Authenticator, Okta Verify, SAP Concur) can occasionally get stuck in the Parkable app's webview. Try one of these:

  • Sign in to your work email on the same device first, then come back to Parkable

  • Try signing in at app.parkable.com in a regular browser instead of the app

  • If you're on a phone, fully close and reopen the app

If the loop continues, contact your IT team — it's a workplace policy or device trust issue, not a Parkable issue.

"Try another way" or magic link options aren't appearing

That's expected. By default, once your workplace has SSO turned on, the only way to sign in with your work email is via your workplace login. The other options are hidden to keep the flow clear.

Some workplaces choose to enable a magic link option as a fallback. If you see it, your admin has turned it on — you can use it to sign in with a one-time email link if your workplace login is unavailable.

If you genuinely need to sign in with a different account (e.g. a personal email), use that email instead — it'll get its own login flow.

My workplace just turned on SSO and I had a personal Parkable account on the same email

Your existing account is automatically linked the first time you sign in via SSO. Your parking history, vehicles, and payment cards are preserved.

What about a Parkable account on my personal email?

That's a separate account. If you want to move from your personal account to your work account, you'll need to:

  • Sign in via SSO with your work email (this creates or links your work account)

  • Re-add your vehicles and payment cards on your work account

  • If you have parking history or unused credits on the personal account that you'd like moved across, contact Parkable support

Where do I get more help?

If you've worked through this article and you're still stuck, contact your parking administrator first — they can confirm whether your workplace's SSO setup is working. If they confirm it's working but you're still locked out, contact Parkable support with:

  • The exact error message (a screenshot is best)

  • The work email address you're trying to sign in with

  • Whether you've signed in successfully before
